過去に生じたアスベスト飛散に関連して生じる恐れのある疾患への対応策を検討する委員会が開催され、村山が委員長として選出されました。

At the 11th meeting of APNEC, Murayama gave a talk on "Asbestos Building Material Use and Risk  in Japan and Asia," and a poster presentation on "Stakeholder involvement for radioactive decontamination in Fukushima".

Sept 27, 2013 FAIRDO round-table meeting in Fukusihima City

As an activity of "Fukushima Action Research on Effective Decontamination Operation: FAIRDO," round-table meeting on establishment of the foundation for consensus building on reconstruction of Fukushima was held at Fukushima City, and Murayama and Ono attended as members of this project.  In this meeting, municipality officials of Fukushima City, Date City and Kori Town as well as Dr. Igarashi, Assoc. Professor of Tsukuba University, who conducted activities on safety of agricultural products made in Kashiwa City, Chiba prefecture, gave their reports and discussed about effective measures for consensus-building on community basis.

As a member of Japan Environmental Council, Murayama attended the annual meeting, and discussed about current situation and issues for reconstruction from Tsunami disaster.

Aug 6, 2013  On-site survey at Fukushima Diiichi Nuclear Power Plant

As a member of Council for reviewing decommission measures of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants, we visited the plant and surveyed the condition of measures for contaminated water near the seaside as well as functions inside a turbine facility.

Aug 4, 2013  Prefectural Citizens' Council for reviewing decommission measures of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants

Prefectural Citizens' Council for reviewing decommission measures of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants organized by Fukushima prefectural Government was held, and Murayama attended as a member.  Prefectural citizens of related municipalities gave severe comments for the activities of Tokyo Electric Company as well as National government.

July 26, 2013  FAIRDO round-table meeting in Fukushima

As an activity of "Fukushima Action Research on Effective Decontamination Operation: FAIRDO," round-table meeting on establishment of the foundation for consensus building on reconstruction of Fukushima was held at Fukushima University, and Murayama and Ono attended as members of this project.  In addition to members from Ministry of the Environment, Fukushima prefectural government and local municipalities, members of NERIS from Europe also attended, we discussed about information platform and how to build consensus on the reconstruction.

July 23, 2013  ISAP2013 Yokohama conference

International forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific organized by Institute of Global Environmental Studies (IGES) and United Nations University was held in Yohohama City,  Murayama attended a session titled "Preparing against Nuclear Emergencies: Lessons Learnt from Fukushima and Europe", in which panelists were NERIS members as well as Mayor of Namie Town.

An article of Nikkan Kogyo Newspaper covered a research on social acceptance for geothermal energy facility conducted by Mr. Joju Uechi, a PhD student, with Dr. Aki Suwa, a researcher of United Nations University.

June 11, 2013  Council for reviewing decommission measures of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants

As a member of this council, Murayma attended a meeting, and discussed about road-map for decommission as well as current issues.
